The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) is celebrating a successful second-annual ASTA Travel Masters.

The invite-only golf event in St Andrews, Scotland supported the trade association's advocacy and this year included a special focus on women in the travel industry.

According to ASTA, the addition of "Tee Time to Tea Time" increased female golfer participation five-fold from 2022. This year's event hosted 16 golf foursomes and 86 total attendees.

ASTA also partnered with Windstar Cruises to create the Icon Award celebrating female contributions and empowerment within the travel industry. Claiming it for the first time was Gloria Bohan, founder and CEO of Omega World Travel.

The Travel Masters will move to Maui, Hawaii in 2024, and will be played August 19-22 at the famed Kapalua Golf Course.

"We’re excited that Maui will host Travel Masters next year," ASTA President and CEO Zane Kerby said in a statement. "I was there last week, meeting with local hospitality leaders to determine appropriate service projects we can undertake to best help Maui recover from the devastating wildfires in Lahaina."
