Sustainable luxury hotel portfolio Beyond Green added four new properties to its portfolio, in destinations from Guatemala to India and beyond.

The portfolio, which is one of the most sustainable in the world, offers 35 hotels, resorts and lodges across 20 different countries. All of the properties, including the four new additions, are also available to earn and redeem points through the I Prefer Hotel Rewards loyalty program.

In Milan, the portfolio expands to include Starhotels E.c.ho. (which stands for Ecological Contemporary Hotel). Located within the heart of Milan near the Milano Centrale train station and the historic city center, the hotel offers a sustainable city escape featuring a restaurant with plant-forward options and a garden. The hotel also participates in the Milano Centrale District, an association that works to improve the quality of life in Milan through urban regeneration and cultural activities.

Another addition is the Porta Hotel Antigua in the UNESCO-designated La Antigua, Guatemala. Once part of coffee and prickly pear plantations, the hotel offers incredible views of the surrounding countryside while also being only a short walk away from the city’s main plaza. The historic property offers two swimming pools, a spa, and authentic Guatemalan cuisine at its restaurant. The hotel focuses on reducing water and energy consumption, uses locally sourced materials and foods, and an onsite cultural concierge who helps connect travelers with community events.

Suryagarh, located in Rajasthan, India near the Thar Desert, is a fort-style resort with 90 rooms and suites, three restaurants and a spa. The resort’s sustainability initiatives include an on-site solar park, a dedication to preserving the region’s natural environment and promoting women’s equality through education and entrepreneurship opportunities.

The last new Beyond Green addition is also in India; the Hidden India Mahavan is located in the lush jungle of Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh. The luxury glamping experience offers a carbon-negative escape in the region made famous by “The Jungle Book.” Travelers are immersed in local nature and culture in comfort. The retreat supports forest and big cat conservation, uses electric vehicles, eliminates single-use plastics and supports local farmers and artisans.
