Dream Vacations Unveils Annual Contest Awarding Military Veterans Free Travel Franchises

Dream Vacations unveiled its 12th annual “Operation Vetrepreneur: Become Your Own General” contest, which will award three military veterans a free Dream Vacations franchise valued at $12,300.

The company will also waive the initial startup fees and monthly administrative service fees for the first year.

Since the contest’s inception, Dreams Vacations has awarded 58 franchises to veterans at a value of $700,000.

The contest began on May 29 and ends on Sept. 4. Winners will be notified in October.

“After completing Dream Vacations’ New Franchisee Training, the winners will be armed with all the tools and knowledge they need to begin their next journey as small business owners creating dream vacations,” Dream Vacations said.

Last year’s winner, Kingwood, Texas-based Army veteran Crystal Ureta had this to say: “Dream Vacations is a company that gives back to the military community and offers many incentive programs to assist veterans in transitioning back to civilian life. To enter the contest, participants must complete an online entry form and an introductory phone interview with a Franchise Development Manager. Candidates will be required to submit a candidate profile, business plan and video. For more information, call 888-249-8235.

Dream Vacations is also offering veterans and Gold Star families the chance to acquire Dream Vacations agency businesses at a 30 percent discount with waived administration fees.
