JetBlue Airways is expanding its service to Washington, D.C.

The airline will now fly three times a day from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in the nation’s capital.

The New York to Washington route is one of the most highly trafficked corridors in aviation.

Not only does it give passengers more opportunities to get to D.C. from New York, but it’s a great layover connection. JetBlue now offers 10 nonstop destinations from Washington, including its own connecting flights to Amsterdam and Paris.

The quick, roughly 90-minute flights, will leave JFK in New York at 7:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and again at 7:20 p.m. From Reagan National, passengers can continue on JetBlue from Washington with nonstop flights to Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, San Juan and Palm Beach.

The new service also means greater competition and, possibly, better fares.
