Kylie Jenner Shares How Having Kids Stormi and Aire in Her 20s Has Affected Her
Kylie Jenner isn’t afraid to get candid her experience as young mom.
The 27-year-old, who is mom to 6-year-old Stormi Webster and 2-year-old Aire Webster, recently shared insight into what it was like being pregnant and then raising little ones while still coming into her own.
“I haven’t had a baby in a few years,” Kylie noted in a cover story for Elle magazine published on Oct. 23. “The first part of my twenties was having children, learning what my personal style was and then losing it—not knowing how to dress, gaining 60 pounds for both pregnancies.”
And it’s taken the Kylie Cosmetics founder, who shares her kids with ex Travis Scott, time to adjust to her life as a mom—but also as a person who is growing and evolving.
“It took me a year to feel like myself again,” she said. “At 27, I feel more confident and more like myself than ever.”
The Kardashians star—who has been dating Timothée Chalamet for over a year—also revealed her reaction to her first pregnancy back in 2017.
“I got pregnant when I was 19,” she recalled. “Having a baby really young was more shocking, maybe, because I saw these changes happening to my body—all these new stretch marks and things that I didn’t have before.”
The reality star, who has been candid about her postpartum struggles, described her postpartum depression as feeling “like I was on autopilot.”
But despite her ups and downs, Kylie is proud of how far she’s come. “I have to give my younger self grace,” she told the magazine. “I don’t like to have too many regrets in life. I think my path is what got me here today. I’m happy with where I am and just have to keep moving forward.”
Kylie previously opened up about her postpartum depression struggles, telling British Vogue in August, “Stormi’s lasted a year.”
"Probably with my son it was major baby blues,” Kylie added, noting her struggles lasted as long with Aire, “so I was just so emotional over things that I probably wouldn’t be that emotional about."
